TIVO CATASTROPHE!

So It's about 9:30 and I am finally sitting down to watch the biggest night in AI television. I had been waiting for this night for so long. I was so excited to see Kelly Clarkson and all the fabulous stars they have been bragging about for the last month. So I am very much enjoying the first few minutes when I go to fast foward through Earth Wind and Fire when what did I see?!!! That dreaded red strip telling me that somebody forgot to erase all of there car show crap tv and that the last 30 min. did not get recorded!! I was so mad! I think I made this person (I won't name names) feel really bad. But hey, don't record so many car shows! The part of the show I did get to watch was great and I did forgive him (I think) when it stopped recording seconds after Kelly sang. He got lucky on that one. So after that I went racing to the computer to try and find who got kicked off. I didn't really get it at first, but then I realized what they did. If someone could feel me in on how the last 30 min. of the show was that would be great. That will be crazy to kick off two people next week. I can't wait! I'll be sure to check the recorded % next time.

Like Mother like......kids!

I had to get a picture of this! Brody has been really into the computer for some time now and is getting really good at it too. He doesn't even need me to help him get to what he wants to do anymore. He loves playhousedisney.com the best. Sadie is always trying to get in on the action but he rarely lets her, so I thought this was so cute that he was actually being nice and letting her watch.

Baking with Wheat

Ok, so I love getting fun new recipes from all your blogs so I thought I would share some of my own. I have been obsessed with baking with wheat lately and here are some of my favorites.

Whole Wheat Bread
In Bosch mixer with dough hook:
6c. warm water, approx. 115degrees
2TBS. Sea salt (I use regular salt)
2/3c. Canola oil
2/3c. Honey
3TBS. Dough Enhancer
2c. High Gluten Bread flour or 1/3c. Vital Wheat Gluten
3TBS. SAF instant yeast
6-8c. Fresh ground flour (to begin with)

Mix well on speed 1 and continue to add wheat only until the dough begins to pull away from the sides of the bowl. When you can see the sides pull clean as well as the dough coming clean from the bottom of the bowl you know you have enough flour. The dough should be very sticky.
Knead on speed 1 for 8-10 min.
Oil your hands, remove dough from mixer onto a slightly oiled counter, divide your dough into 4-5 loaves depending on your pan size.
Shape loaves and place in a well greased or sprayed (Pam) pan. Cover with a dry towel and let rise until dough has risen double. This should take 30-60 min.
Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 30-35 min.
The bread can be frozen up to 30 days without freezer burn.

Waffle and Pancake mix
10c. Whole wheat flour
4c. white flour
1/2c. Sugar
1/2c. Baking powder
2c. powdered milk
4tsp. salt
Store in airtight container in a cool place.

For recipe to serve 6-8 people:
4c. Baking mix
4 Beaten eggs
1/2c. Oil
3 1/2c. Water
Mix all ingredients together and use a wire whip to blend. Get ready for the best waffles you will ever eat!!

Easter Pageant

Boyd and Nikki Worthen did such a great job in the Easter Pageant. Nikki looked beautiful in her outfit and Boyd.....looked like Jesus. I think his hair is longer than mine right now. Brody was a little scared of Boyd. I think it was the eyebrows!

Happy Easter!

We had a really great Easter weekend. It started off by going to the Easter Pageant Fri. night. Noah went and saved us seats earlier that day, so we were able to sit Pretty close. It was fabulous as usual. What a great way to remember why we celebrate Easter and all that our Savior did for us. My brother brought some non-members with us and they really enjoyed it. The next day, Sat. I actually finished the Pat's run. It was really fun and want to do it every year now. Later that day we went up to the lake with the family. The water was freezing so nobody wanted to get in. The kids loved it though. Easter Sun. was great. My kids had so much fun getting their Easter baskets and finding all the eggs. The picture above is my Mom with her five grandkids. They had us over for a great dinner. As usual she went overboard with Easter gifts for the kids. She loves getting them gifts for all the holidays. Then spent the rest of the night over at the Tyler's with the fam. Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Noah's Celebrity look-a-likes

Ryan Gosling, Josh Groban, Zack Braff

People are always telling Noah that he looks like someone and it is usually these three celebs. I put his name in the heritage look- a -like thing but none of these guys came up. So I thought I'd do my own. He also gets the singer from Beck alot too. I wouldn't mind him looking a little more like Ryan Gosling! Just kidding Noah!

Pat's run

This Sat. is the 4.2 mile run for Pat Tillman(Pat's run). Don't ask me why I'm doing this, because I so am not a runner! But it's a good goal I guess. If anybody is going look for me. I'll be bringing up the rear! Wish me luck! I'll need it.

My weekend

Noah and I went up to Utah this weekend to go to conference. The weather could not have been more perfect. Everywhere you turn they have the most amazing landscapes with the best flowers everywhere! I wish so bad we could grow fun flowers like that here. We attended the Sat. morning session and of course it was great. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir brought down the house on the closing song that session! I was seriously crying it was that fabulous! It was so fun to be there in person. How funny is Pres. Hinkley? We also saw The Testaments movie. I definitely recommend seeing it if you haven't already. I went to this really fun store called Tai-pan. Check it out if you are there ever, it's really worth it! My Grandma watched our kids for us, so it was so relaxing-but still could not wait to see them. My Grandma and Mom played the worst April fools trick on me. On the way home My Mom had my Grandma call me and say that there had been an accident and Sadie had to get Stitches! I was totally fine but My Grandma totally started crying(even though it was fake) So I started crying. Then My Mom saw me crying so she started crying! It was just a big mess. My Grandma gets really emotional-even if she is playing a joke! She felt so bad after. It was all really funny. Hope you all had a great weekend! P.S. Don't ask me what Noah's hair is doing. How embarrassing!
