Goodbye Arizona...

I can't believe this is really happening.
So last Friday Noah calls me and says guess who I got an email from? I had no clue but guessed someone (if you are in my family you know who I guessed..haha) and said nope...Regent! They emailed to say that he was accepted into their Law School!! He really was as excited as a little kid.
So where the heck is Regent???

Virginia!!

(Virginia Beach to be exact)

I had to look at one of these to make sure where we were going.

It was one of our top choices of schools so we are way excited! I actually got a little teary eyed as he was telling me because I knew it just made made moving all too real. It will be crazy to be that far away from the one state we have lived in but we both know it is exactly where we should be. I know nothing about Virginia but everyone we talk to says it is amazing! I'm really looking forward to being in a whole new environment.
Soooooo school starts the second week in August so we thought we would make that long journey the last week in July. (We are going to Wicked July 14 so we can't go till then!)
If you have ever been to VA let me know what you like about it...we will need all the guidance we can get.

Some random..ness

Not too much going on around here lately..but I guess that could be a good thing, Huh? I've been meaning to update for so long but just didn't have something great to post about. So I thought I would just comment on some random subjects I've been thinking about.

First off, who is not in love with the weather right now?! I'm mean it could not get any better right now for us Arizonans. By about 4pm all the kids are outside riding their bikes up and down the street and all us Moms gather together and just hang out and talk about...everything I guess! This is the one thing I am REALLY going to miss about moving. I live on the best street in the world and am really going to miss our evening chats.

I'm loving Spring! I love Easter stuff, the bright colors, the yummy smells (orange blossoms..need I say more?), the final months of school, trying to get in shape for summer. What I am not loving?..all the Allergies that come along with Spring! I have never had allergies but lately I have been getting pounded with them! I now know what Noah has been living with the past 8 years. It sucks. Anyone have a good Allergy medicine send it my way!

How cute are these terra cotta Easter baskets? I want to make them for the ladies I visit teach!

Speaking of the final months of school...did you hear who is speaking at ASU's graduation??

Yup. And guess who is graduating this semester? Noah! He always said he would never go to his graduation but when I heard Obama was speaking I told him, he is so going! I'm not an Obama lover but when else would you get to see the President in that kind of setting? Never! So I can not wait!

Lately I have been loving these adorable headbands made by Vestige Jewelry (My aunt Karen and her daughter Cassie). They make a bad hair day look great or a good hair day look fabulous! I just CHOPPED my hair(I'll post a pic later) so I'm very excited to play around with them and my new do. They make jewelry also and have two of the cutest necklaces ever. And best yet...their prices are very reasonable! I sound like a salesman, huh?

Cute huh?

The latest...

That face! I could just eat him. Ronan is now 10 months old. I really can't believe it. Time has flown by. With the other two I could not wait for them to get older but I just want him to stay the baby. He started taking steps a couple weeks ago and now is walking from couch to couch. He gets the biggest grin on his face when he starts walking. I can't believe I need to start thinking about him turning 1!

Noah turned 29 on January 27th. We went to Joe's BBQ with Noah's family and my parents for his FREE dinner. You really can't beat Joe's. Then came home to a cute cake in a jar from our home teacher. We sang happy B-day and that was about it. Nothing too big but he knew he was loved.
Sadie had a cute Valentine party at her pre-school. They sang a song for all the Mom's and then gave us carnations. She had been singing the song at home for weeks but when it came time to sing at school all she cared about was the sucker she was eating. Oh well.

I made these cute valentines for the kids to take to school. Thanks to my creative friend Kanoe, I copied what she did last year.

I saw this cute locker idea to put your Valentine's in from a magazine. Brody and I tried to copy it but it just didn't turn out as cute as the picture. Of course.

Noah just got his first letter back from a Law School and he got in!! It is Thomas Jefferson in California. He is still waiting on several other letters so it will still be awhile until we decide where to go. We both were so excited. I'm so proud of him!

Me? Not a lot going on with me, but I did get released from the Primary Presidency and put into Activity Days. Seriously, it's the best job in the ward! The girls love everything you do and you only have to do an activity everyother week. I'm loving it.

And that's about it from US.

The looong awaited arrival of....

Bentley Burke!
Feb. 17th 6:36pm
7lbs. 3oz.
191/2 in.
Tons of hair (I'm so jealous)
Nat (Noah's youngest sister) and baby are doing great! She was over a week over due, so we all were very anxious for the arrival of Bentley. Nat had to have a c-section so they will have to stay at the hospital until Sat. I can't wait to hold her again!!

Gunner Gene Goodman

Yesterday I got the saddest news that one of my best friends baby had passed away. They are not totally sure of the cause right now. He was only 3 months old. Sunni is one of the strongest people I know, but I know that She and her family could really use our prayers right now. I don't know how you go on after a trial like this, but if anyone one can do it, it is Sunni.
Sunni, if you are reading this, know that I love you and am constantly thinking and praying for you guys. Please let me know if I can help in any way.

Evidence

Here is my evidence that I actually ran a 1/2 marathon. Never in my wildest dreams would I think I could run a 1/2 marathon, but I did and I am so dang proud of it. I didn't get the greatest time or do it without walking (which was my goal) but I finished and that's all that matters. I actually want to do another one...we'll see. The course was great! We ran through Schneph farms and through some other farming fields. I loved the change of not having to run on the side of the road. We got off to a bit of a bad start. We were just pulling in when Ryan Abbot called and said "they just started the race!" So we had to run to the starting line, get our numbers on and work our way through all the 10kers who were about to start. So we started about 5 or 6 min. late. Then to top it off, at about mile 3 I went to turn on my Ipod and it froze up!! I remembered there was a way to start it back up but I couldn't remember how to do it. I was so frustrated I wanted to throw the dang thing in a ditch...but I didn't. Good thing I had Katherine to talk to along the way! All along the way they had pictures of London and other kids who are battling cancer. My nephew Troy was one of them. The first picture I came to with his picture I totally started tearing up! It totally made me want to try harder because you knew all the pain these kids have gone through. It was just amazing. Before the race Noah told me he would wait for me towards the end and I told him No! But of course there he was, waiting for me to cross that finish line with him. It was so great to see him and all the others waiting for us at the finish line. Go team TROY!!
My running partner Katherine, and I. We are shedding some of our layers here.

Noah coming in for a water. Nice water stance Heidi!

Making it into the finish line

Awh...it's over!

We did it all for you Troy!

Gettin a much needed massage after the race by Ian. Noah was keeping his eye on him.
