Things just got...interesting.

2nd semester of Law school
3 kids
New city
No family
No money
Freezing cold weather

Heavenly Father REALLY wants to test us and keep us on our toes...

This past Sunday Noah was sustained as the 2nd counselor in our ward.
We are still a little shocked. We know it will take lots of hard work and many many prayers to get through this next couple years..but we also know we can do it with faith in the Lord. Meeting with our Stake Pres. last week was a night I will never forget. It brought me to tears how strong the spirit was. And the testimony Pres. bore will be with me forever. It was exactly what I needed to hear to give me the confidence while accompanying Noah through this journey. I know Noah was chosen by Heavenly Father through our amazing new Bishop. Noah will be great and I'm sure our ward will soon love and follow him as I already do.

Noah's parents came in to town this past weekend. I am always amazed at how wonderful they are. They heard the news and were on a plane in 2 days! I mean seriously..who does that? Sunday was a crazy day so it was so great to have them here to help with everything.

I got a little glimpse of what Sunday's will be like for Ronan. Let me just say...he does NOT like seeing Noah up on the stand. We will be hanging out in the hall for quite some time I'm sure.

(blah! This is why I am starting my diet! Our night out at Red Robin before Noah's parents left)

That's awesome! Noah will be amazing. Sad for you having him away so much, but I know your family will be so blessed. I'm sure Ronan will get used to it.

You know Noah is going to be FANTASTIC!!! I always look at Jenn Moss with her kids and wonder how she does it. I freak out every time Dustin has to help pass the sacrament. Luke ended up with the Farnsworths last Sunday.

And NO DIETS! Unless you plan on breaking it in 2 weeks.

Couldn't think of a better person for the job. They are lucky to have Noah. You just need to find a helper in sacrament. I always look at those families & think how do they do it. Todd passed the sacrament the other Sunday & I was exhausted. Good luck!!!! & please you look amazing like you always do!!!!

You will be blessed beyond comprehension! Although it will be hard to have him gone on Sundays (and other days of the week too), you will all get used to the schedule and I'm sure there will be others from your ward to help. When Brandon was 2nd counselor in our ward, I would always try and sit by people at church who I knew would help with my kids when I had to take one out. Although you don't have family nearby, the Lord will send other "angels" to bless you when you need it :) Good luck with everything!

Why am I not surprised???!!! I wish I was in your ward! Noah will be amazing and Heavenly Father will bless your family SO much. I was talking to Jen after I was released from RS and recapping everything that had happened in our lives over the past three years all while serving as the RS Pres. She mentioned that obviously Heavenly Father knew that we would need the blessings of the calling to see us through the challenges and craziness that would ensue in our life. It's so true, though, the sweet blessings from service will see you through and the friendships you make will be lifelong! I'm so happy for your family!

As if life isn't busy or complicated enough right? You guys are an amazing family. You guys will do great! Noah is so blessed to have you (Jill) by his side, and visa versa.
I think about you guys all the time! We are all "there" for you in spirit.
Jill, thanks to your awesome example, I find myself thinking of how you treat others and how kind and serving you are, and it makes me want to pass that on to others the way you did for me.
(And I know you don't want to hear it, but you look amazing! You're hair is getting long too!)
And good luck in church. I can only imagine how hard that is going to be with Ronan ;)
