My monthly update

My Arnett family has this great tradition that has been going on for as long as I can remember, that every fast Sunday we get together and have a giant pot luck and just eat and hang out. When I say giant I mean like 60+ people. My family is huge. I have over 60 first cousins! Anyway, every family puts together a monthly family newsletter that tells what is going on in their lives and then somebody will put all the newsletters together and give them out to each family. It is so great to be able to look back on all the things that has happen with this family. So I decided to start my own little monthly newsletter of my own little family. Not that you all really care about what we are doing. I just think it will be good for me to do this so I can have something to look back on and remember. So here goes!

Noah finished up another semester at ASU. He finished with three A's and a B! He makes school seem so easy. I rarely see him studying or doing homework and yet he does so well. School comes really easy for him. We are the complete opposite when it comes to school and learning. I pray my kids get his smart genes. He stays very busy at work. They just moved to a new car lot, so it has been alot of work transferring everything over and getting the new lot up and running. Noah is the YM pres. in our ward so he is busy with meeting and mutual every week. He loves his calling and really loves the boys in our ward. He has so much fun with them. They are going to Havasupai next week for their super activity which Noah is very excited about. He has also been going to the lake when he can find a free second and is loving his new surfboard. Although he just found out that it flew out of the boat while coming home one day, and is so bummed about it. Noah always amazes me how he can juggle so many things without being the slightest stressed out. He does so much for our family and we love him so much.

I recently got back from a week long trip to New York with My Mom, Grandma, Aunt and cousin. We had so much fun but I was glad to get back and be with my kids and Noah. We did pretty much everything there is to do in New York. I think I walked about 5 miles everyday! It is a non stop city! I'll post some pics later. Other than that the kids keep me busy and we are loving summer time. My piano lessons are going great. Right now I am working on Love one another out of the Children's hymn book. I can't wait to master it because it is such a pretty song. I am loving my calling in the primary. The kids are so cute and sweet. I think I could be in Primary forever. (Don't get any crazy ideas Maddy!)
Brody is also loving summer and playing with all the neighbor kids everyday. There are so many little boys his age that live on our street, so they just run from one house to another. He just started swimming lessons and is loving it. The boy could swim all day if he could. We found out a few weeks ago that he is allergic to pretty much everything that grows outside, so that is a total bummer for a three year old. He doesn't let it get in his way too much though. Brody is becoming such a good brother to his little sister Sadie. They have so much fun together. He loves helping her with things and letting her play with all his toys. He also finished up his first preschool year. He was so cute in his little program they had.

Sadie is loving life as a almost 2 year old. (She turns 2 the end of next month) We just moved her into a big girl bed and she is doing pretty good with it. She has a hard time staying in it at night and for naps but other than that it's good. She is such a girly girl. I gave her one of my old purses the other day and did not put it down for about two days straight. She had to sleep with it and even had to take it to the gym with her. She loves it! She also loves swimming and playing outside with Brody and the neighbor kids. She is talking so much lately and now is putting 2 and 3 words together. It's amazing how they grow up so fast.

The Tyler family has had a bit of a traumatic week last week. Noah's sister Heather found out that their little 2 year old boy has Leukemia. (ALL) He was in the hospital for about a week doing lots of test and undergoing Chemotherapy, but has now been released to continue his chemo at home. He will keep with the chemo for 3 years to prevent it from coming back. I can't imagine the pain this little family is going through. I can't even imagine what it would be like to have your life turned up side down in a matter of a day. We are praying for Troy that he will get better and make a full recovery. We love him so much!!

Well that is about it for us. Hope you all are having a great summer!
