Every March the little town of Lehi puts on a rodeo called Lehi Days. I grew up going and participating in this and still look forward to it every year. I haven't been in a few years so this was the first time I was able to take my kids. They loved it. I think they are cowgirl/cowboy at heart just like their Mom! I took this rodeo pretty serious when I was younger. I did the goat tying, barrel racing, and boot race(Which my team took home a nice belt buckle one year!). I can't wait for next year to put the kids in an event! Noah also participated in Lehi Days this year...as a cook! My dad was in charge of part of the cooking so he recruited Noah and my brothers to help him all day. They all worked so hard!

So jealous, Lehi Days is my absolute Favorite. I love the bbq too, that was always my favorite part, shockingly!
Just so you know I have tears in my eyes right now. Every 1st weekend in March, I get so sad when I can't be there for the fun. I so wanted Collin to chase a chick this year! I hope you had some Indian Fry Bread for me! Oh shoot...I just read Kanoe's comment. Welcome to Mesa Kanoe!!!
so ethan and i were looking at blogs and when he saw your pictures he said, "brody's at a hee haw" thought that was pretty funny so we had to share it with ya! also you are more than welcome to by and see the little one whenever.
I have never been to Lehi days, and I even used to live there for a year and a half! I didn't know you were a closet cowgirl, I thought I was the only one. :D
Niki- of course my Dad cooked potatoes! (or taters I should say)
Kanoe- If you have ever driven north on Mesa Dr. past Mckellips then you've been to Lehi.
Megan- I don't ever remember having frye bread and Lehi days. I only remember the BBQ.
I am So..sad I missed it this year. There is nothing like Lehi days. My fav is the beef. Yum..
Is Kanoe serious about Lehi??
Ok I'm pretty sure Sadie was the cutest cowgirl there. I loved the vest and the boots. And, ok I never even heard of Lehi days but it sounds fun. I'll have to ask Todd if he has been. But I did know where Lehi was!!
How fun! Never even knew about it!
YAY!! You don't need our blessing haha! Cameron was honestly sooo flattered, and is SO excited! He said that Noah was the one who gave him his nickname! Whats funny is that we have actually talked about using the name Rone!
Dont let em ride the calfs!!! Remember my face trampling?? OK so was NOAH woking at the one of the stands in his get up? I remember making snow cones..those were the days. No dressing the cow this year Jill?
How fun! I didn't know you had some "cowgirl" in you! That's awesome. I grew up with a ton of animals (pretty much any pet you can have we had at one point or another...).
I love your kids all cowboy-ed up!
so...parker and i just had a really funny conversation. wich i think left us both confused. i asked, "parker do you know where lehi is?" he gave me "the look" and said, "are you serious?" i said, "dead." he said, "like north mesa-ish." i said, but is it a city or a county? like mesa, gilbert, lehi?" he said, with a confused look on his face, "i'm pretty sure it's a city...maybe it's a county." i'm googling it right now.
I used to love Lehi days. I haven't been since I was little. Looks like it's still a lot of fun. Sadie looks adorable in her little "cowgirl" outfit.
