No, I'm not joking

This picture does not even give me justice. I think I have close to 30 mosquito bites just on my feet and legs.

Last night I was about to pull my hair out from how bad my legs itched so I looked up how to get rid of the itch and it said to rub baking soda and water all over. It actually worked but before I went to bed I wiped it off. I woke up around 2 am and wanted to chop off my legs. Pretty much, I didn't sleep after that.
I will never go to an outdoor party and stay for 4 hours without pants or heavy duty bug spray again!!!

Ack! That is the worst! We learned that lesson super early on in Tx. Az I got eaten alive also. It's my blood I guess. But sad when one of the vital things on your check list of stuff to grab is bug spray! I kept a bottle in my purse!
It's really interesting/crazy to read your blog and have a few flashbacks of our lives when we first moved. I can't wait like you said to see happy Az vacay posts soon :)
I PRAY that hurricane Bill moves from your path. Cody is hurricane expert, so if it really is coming close, and you guys need some advice/tips...feel free to let us know what we can do to help! GOOD LUCK!!

Yikes! That is crazy. I hate mosquito bites. Rubbing your spit on them works too, but that would be a lot of spit to cover your legs! Don't you just love living on a school budget! Somehow it all works out. I'm glad you are adjusting to your life in Virginia. Just wait, you will be bawling when you have to leave!!

When I was prego last time I got eaten alive. I started soaking my legs in hot water, and it burned the ouch right out of them. :) That was the only thing that worked! Good luck.

I'm dying. I remember being eaten alive on the mission in nauvoo. I used to put clear nail polish on it. But I heard that lavender oil works too. Not fun.....

Okay, I will NEVER complain about mosquito bites again! (We started having a mass of them here due to our lawn being overwatered).
OUCH!! Talk about no relief. I would just die! I wish I had a tip (but my MIL said rubbing aspirin on them works). Good luck!!
And, it begs the question, again... why were mosquito's created?? One of those questions I'm "saving" ;0)

Jill, Ouch, mosquitos love my sister Theresa too. Brooke can relate to the"newness" and change you guys are going through. I went and surprised her last sun-tues between orintaion and lst class.(she was pretty homesick and feeling overwhelmed) Shes doing well but school is hard, tons of reading. hang in there you have a great attitude. I told Brooke, and the same will be for you guys to, its a great time to really learn to rely on the Lord. Good luck!, Karen

Oh girl, that makes me itch just reading about it. That's horrible. I hope your legs heal soon. I loved your last post. The big map of the U.S. looks like so much fun...what a great idea!

That looks MISERABLE! You poor thing. Do you use your nails to make an "x" on them?

Jill you have to go to walmart and see if they have mosquito bands. They are like those rubber bracelets that people like to wear and they are adjustable. My lawn guy's wife told me he wears those when the mosquitos are really bad and she uses them for her kids also. She said she will even leave them next to their bed at night if they get in the house. Good luck!
